Support and Education Groups

We help explore options and connect families to resources and other parents and provide skill building and recreational opportunities. A light meal and child care are provided at most groups.

Groups for Youth

Adventure Northland (ages 12-15)– This is a summer group that incorporates social skills with fun activities for kids with disabilities. Activities may include the Zoo mobile, Science Day with the Duluth Children’s Museum and more!
Cost is $5 per session (scholarships available).
Meets 2nd & 4th Tuesday of June, July, and August from 1:00-3:00pm at the Ordean Building in Conference Rooms B & C.

Northland Quest (ages 15-19)- This group incorporates social skills with community activities for transition age youth who have disabilities. Activities may include: exploring Canal Park, tour of the Depot or bowling, and more!
Cost is $5 per session (scholarships available).
Meets 3rd Monday of June, July, and August from 1:00-3:00pm at the Ordean Building in Conference Rooms B & C.

Parent Education Luncheon Series

Learn and grow with Arc Northland and join us for a series of educational workshops for parents and caregivers of children who have disabilities. Lunch and childcare are provided. There is a cost of $5.00 per session to help cover the cost of lunch. Parenting Workshops meet from 11:30-1:00pm at the Ordean Building in Conference Rooms A, B, & C.

Extreme Parenting

Education and support group for parents who have children with emotional/behavioral disabilities.

1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month

FASD Group

Networking, Support and Education for families of children with disabilities.
FASD Parenting Group will take a break for the summer. Meetings will start up again September 2017.
